Kathleen's Diary: July 15, 2001
Robert BMT-3
Robert is now doing well. His fever is between 103 and 104(40.4), his 02 has been dropping and they are blowing oxygen on him. His heart rate is over 180 and he is breathing very fast. His respiration rate is over 70. They brought down a portable x-ray machine to take a chest x-ray. Fortunately, the x-ray had a negative result. They are also running cultures to hopefully rule out any viral infection. Both Mark and I talked to his father (the doctor) and he said don't panic yet. He said we should have about 30 days like this before we are finished. It is about 10:00 p.m. and we are waiting for the test results.
